Chocolate mousse garnished with berries
The best thing that can happen to a bar of chocolate: a homemade chocolate mousse. To make this classic even more indulgent, garnish it with berries.
Preparation
- Chop the chocolate and cut the butter into small pieces. Melt both together with the rum in a bowl over a bain-marie.
- Separate the eggs and stir the yolk into the melted chocolate mixture. Whisk the egg whites together with the Hermesetas Granulated until stiff, then fold into the chocolate mixture. Finally, whip the cream until stiff and fold in carefully.
- Divide the finished chocolate mousse into four single glasses. Garnish with berries just before serving.
Tip: The mousse is very adaptable. Why not add cinnamon, chilli or orange zest? If you want to serve the chocolate mousse with nuts, amaretto is a good substitute for the rum.
