Traditional English mulled wine with spices

Punch or mulled wine? We let you in on the secret recipe for traditional English mulled wine with lemons, oranges and spices. Cheers!

Preparation:

  1. Use a peeler to peel two strips of zest from the orange and the lemon. Squeeze the orange.
  2. Place the freshly squeezed orange juice, 100 ml red wine, Hermesetas Granulated, orange and lemon zest, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and nutmeg in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
  3. Reduce the heat, add the star anise and the rest of the wine, and heat the mulled wine gently for 5 minutes. Remove the spices and serve the mulled wine hot.
