Winter spiced cupcakes
Whether you live in Perth, Sydney or Canberra, this cupcake recipe is sure to win you over! Skyr, a dairy product from Iceland, gives it a special touch.
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the butter and mix for several minutes. Stirring continuously, gradually add the creme fraiche and egg and mix until the batter has an even, uniform consistency.
- Fill the cupcake moulds up to 3/4 with batter and place in the oven. Bake for approximately 18 minutes or until they are baked through, then remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Pour all the ingredients for the frosting into a bowl and whisk until the mixture has a light and airy consistency. Taste and add more Hermesetas if you wish. Place the frosting into a piping bag with a serrated nozzle and decorate the cupcakes.
