Healthier Christmas biscuits (shortcake with ideas for variation)

Healthy Christmas biscuits for anyone who likes their recipes quick and easy: Let your creativity run wild with our basic dough made with spelt flour.

Preparation:

  1. Combine the flour, cornstarch, Hermesetas Granulated, baking powder and salt. Add the cold butter and a little water, knead well, and refrigerate for around 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Roll out the dough and cut out the biscuits. Bake for around 10-12 minutes.

Tip: You can vary the biscuits by added a little gingerbread spice or cocoa to the dough. By halving the dough and colouring one half with around 1 tbsp of cocoa powder, for example, you can make two different types of biscuit from the same dough.
