Delicious cherry-nut cake

Fancy a delicious cake with hazelnuts, cherries and chocolate? Hermesetas Granulated gives a light sweetness, while cinnamon provides the right amount of spice.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Chop the dark chocolate and set aside. Drain the cherries through a sieve. Liberally grease a springform (Ø 24cm).
  2. Beat the butter, Hermesetas Granulated and eggs into a foam in a food processor. Mix spelt flour, ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and stir into the butter-egg mixture. Fold in the chopped chocolate and half of the cherries into the batter.
  3. Pour the prepared batter evenly into the springform. Place the remaining cherries on the cake and bake in the oven for 50 minutes. Leave to cool on a cooling rack after baking.
