Homemade lemonade with strawberry syrup and basil

This homemade lemonade with strawberry syrup and basil will quench your thirst any time. Topped up with sparkling wine, it makes a fruity aperitif!

Preparation:

  1. Wash the strawberries, place in a saucepan with the water and Hermesetas Granulated, and bring to the boil. Simmer over a medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly. Be careful: the mixture will bubble and may splash!
  2. Add the basil, allow the mixture to cool slightly, pass through a sieve and add lemon juice to taste. Then use a funnel to fill the mixture into a clean bottle with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator.
  3. To make the homemade lemonade, pour 1 tbsp of strawberry syrup into each glass, top up with mineral water, stir and serve with a slice of lemon, some basil and ice cubes.

Tip: Topped up with sparkling wine, it is an ideal summer aperitif!
